The Two Things We Should Never Talk About…
Tuesdays 7 pm to 9 pm at the Klein’s home.
Politics & Religion – Current events through a Biblical worldview.
You’ve heard that these are the two subjects that you should never talk about, but as Christians we are called to be “ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20). If we are to effectively perform that high political office, shouldn’t we know about the things which are impacting that world to which we are sent?
Our plan is to come together on a weekly basis as a small group. We will be viewing current events through a biblical lens so that we may be more effective Christians making the most of our ministry. We will discuss, research and pray about current news items. Each participant will be encouraged to bring a news item which he/she believes is of particular interest or concern. We will discuss that item and the proper Christian response based on biblical directives.
We will meet at the Klein’s house on Tuesdays at 7 pm. Families with children are welcome, however no childcare will be provided.
Please let us know if you are interested in joining us.

The book of Romans is a Pauline Epistle (letter from Paul). The Apostle Paul wrote it roughly about 56-57 A.D. The key personalities in the book of Romans are the Apostle Paul, and Phoebe who delivered this letter. Paul wrote the letter to the believers in Rome, hence the name “Romans”. He wrote it to give them a concrete theological foundation on which to construct their faith and to live for and serve God effectively.
The book of Romans reveals the answers to important questions and supplies information on many topics, such as salvation, the sovereignty of God, judgment, spiritual growth, and the righteousness of God. Many scholars also describe it as The Gospel and the Righteousness of God, which can be received only by faith in the atoning death of Jesus Christ. (source)
