Our Scripture this month is Genesis 8:22, “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease”
We tend to think unless some big answer to prayer has taken place that God is not faithful or involved in our lives. But, as the above Scripture attests, just the fact that seasons continue is evidence to God’s faithfulness to do as He promised. Sometimes when we are hurting we lose sight of this.
The writer of Lamentations says,
“This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. The Lord’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning;
GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS.”
We all need hope, don’t we? Here are some ways God has shown His faithfulness to all of us:
A roof over our heads
Friends who care
A full stomach
Healing for our bodies
Emotional strength to go through the death of a loved one
Patience to deal with an unruly child or a difficult situation
Salvation of our souls
Dear saints, focus on God and HIS FAITHFULNESS in 2016; take time to think about all that the Lord has done in your life and make a personal list to post in a prominent place and add to throughout the coming year. As a result, 2016 will b a year filled with victory and joy in spite of circumstances; His Kingdom will grow as others ask about the hope that is in you. Go let your light shine.
